About : Geological hikes: 320 million years of history in Oisans
"And yet they move!" could have been said about the mountains that surround us. On this hike, discover a vanished mountain range, a sea populated by strange animals, a clash of titans between two continents, and glaciers, now extinct, that once occupied the entire region. This geological history is reflected in the landscapes of the Oisans, helping us to understand them better. It is also reflected in the culture and human history of our massif, through the many mines that have been exploited in the region, and the magnificent minerals that have been extracted from them. Accompanied by a geologist, come and discover the geological history of our massif.
